Living with siblings, be it older or younger, can be fun yet frustrating. The fight over silly things and blaming the youngest siblings remain inevitable. But then, having siblings is never a dull moment as these three sons of Canada’s most popular family can relate.
Three brothers from a family of 150 siblings have revealed what it’s like to grow up in a polygamous cult, including how their birthdays are held and going to the same school as their nieces and nephews.

In one of the viral TikTok clips, Merlin, who’s currently a resident of the United States, reveals how he had to get out of the community to share experience, adding that he has 7 full siblings. ‘I wanted to talk about it, but I had to get out because I feared someone would show up at my doorstep and do something to me just for talking about how I was raised as a kid.’

‘I have wanted to talk about this for years. Now I am in a position I can. The world is going to know.’ Merlin said. In a 2nd clip, he described how he’s a triplet, having had a half-brother and a half-sister born on the same day as him.

‘My half-brother and half-sister are married into the religion now, but I don’t have much contact with them, anyone.’ In a 3rd clip, Merlin equally shared the age range between his siblings, claiming his oldest brother is 44 while the youngest a year-old. Speaking of birthday parties and gatherings, he admitted they are pretty normal.

‘It wasn’t like 150 people show up to every person’s birthday party. It was more as your closest friends and the kids that are closest to you in age. It was majorly biological siblings that came and got your birthday presents and your closest friends.’ Merlin added. If there was a whole bunch of birthdays close together, Merlin claims it would be celebrated as one big birthday party.
Warren Blackmore, a resident of Canada is a full brother to Merlin. Warren claims they are best friends, and their moms are sisters

Warren Blackmore, a resident of Canada, also spoke of his experience. Being a full brother to Merlin, Warren claims they are best friends, and their moms are sisters. ‘Instead of hating each other like a lot of siblings do, we build each other up and let each other know we could do whatever we put our minds to,’ Warren said in a TikTok clip.

All of the kids were born in 1999, and they included his nephew, niece, cousin, and brothers. He added that most of their food was grown, including potatoes, corn, and tomatoes.
In a TikTok clip, Murray shared how he left a private school and went to a public high school for his final year of education

In a TikTok clip, Murray shared how he left a private school and went to a public high school for his final year of education. Murray claimed he learned about his own family during history class. In another clip, Murray explained how his family split from FLDS church to set up another. ‘So my family use to be part of the FLDS (Fundamentalist Church of the Latter Day Saints) until 2002. When Warren Jeffs became the prophet, my family was kicked off to the side.’

‘Because of how intermingled everything was, all at once people so many people lost all connections to their families. And so they started holding a tight grip on the ones they had left, trying to deal with the trauma from that religion. My family tried to project that back onto themselves, instilling the same fear they experienced onto the future generation. If you grew up in this family and weren’t part of the religion, people will criticize you with a cult-like mentality. Basically, s*** is changing, and we’re moving from more of the cult into a family.’ Murray explained.
In 2017, Winston was charged with practicing celestial marriage in the fundamentalist community (Pictured is the home the trio grew up in)
Nonetheless, the three brothers reveal they hope the next generation will be family and not a cult. In 2017, Winston was charged with practicing celestial marriage in the fundamentalist community and had been sentenced to 6months house arrest.
